I've been spending time fixing my home up lately. From replacing my windows and flooring to a new water heater. By far the best service I have received was from Tucked and Folded. This business is worth its weight in gold. I am not the most organized person and with two small businesses (one being seasonal), she helped me organize the storage space so that my inventory and equipment is in order. It was like she got into my head! She figured it out! Now I can whip in there and get what I need and go. Soooooo, I asked her to organize my daughter's room. She can be a bit of a messy person, but I knew something was not right. Mahta made suggestions on how my daughter's thinking was preventing her from keeping a tidy room. Once she told me how setting up her room differently would make a difference; it hit me like a ton of bricks! Now that things have been sorted out to how my daughter likes to see and arrange her room, it has stayed clean for over a month. The best part about Tucked and Folded services is that there is no judgement. I was feeling like a total slob, but she organized our space to where it made sense for us, things have been much better. It wasn't about being lazy, but more about understanding our needs. Mahta is the best...give her a call if you need to organize your space.

“If you are reading this you may be like I was: searching for a home organizer based on Yelp reviews. I have lived in my disheveled one-bedroom apartment for over 15 years, and had a baby! How to organize and downsize my belongings was too large a task to face alone, I was ready to invest in professional help.

I called a number of places ranked high on yelp and noticed-- this has become a hot profession: minimalism, Maria Kondo-ism. Some places did not return my call […] I chose Tucked and Folded to help me with organize the many piles of **paper** that littered my apartment. 

The first thing you may notice about Mahta is her nurturing demeanor. Hey, this is a very sensitive thing- allowing someone into your apartment, to intimately see all your 'stuff' warts and all. Her warmth and empathy are a relief; and most importantly, she gets right down to business! She puts a lot of thought into how your space can be better used. 

We got most of my papers disposed of (Mahta does not believe in hanging onto paper- save any needed info in your phone, she urged. So smart!) and the ones I felt I needed to keep, we color-coded and filed. She even took all my documents home that I wouldn't want exposed and SHREDDED THEM! 

After our appointment she texted me photos of space-saving items she thought would help me organize- a desk top that attaches to the wall instead of a table, for instance.

At the time, Mahta was only available weekends, and I needed to do more organizing on weekdays, so I tried out two other professional organizers. One had been in the business a long time and had assistants and a great reputation. I'm glad I tried three organizers so I can tell you- Mahta is fairly new to the game, so book her while you can, her time will be booked up! If you are going to invest money into organizing your home, do it with someone who really cares about you and your space and does an excellent job. 

NOTE: I chose to be present for the organizing and I'm glad I did because I learned more about how to organize. But, Mahta told me she is also glad to come in while you are at work or play and organize it all on her own, to save her clients time.”
